# Pilot Surveys

Two short surveys: **before** participants start using Meal Mate, and
**after** they've used it for the pilot period. Keep both under 2 minutes to
complete — short surveys get completed, long ones don't.

Suggested tool: a Google Form per survey, with the participant's assigned
ID (not name) as the first field so before/after responses can be matched
without storing personal data in the spreadsheet.

## Scoring guide

For each participant, compute:

```
planning_time_change   = before.q4 - after.q3          (minutes/week saved)
budget_overrun_change  = before.q5 - after.q4           (scale step improvement)
wastage_change         = before.q6 - after.q5           (times/week reduced)
```

Average these across all completed pairs per group (A and B separately, then
combined) and drop them straight into `metrics-tracker-template.csv`.
